The drone pilot course is targeted candidates with or without previous experience and knowledge of flying UAV’s or drones, who wish to become a licensed drone pilot in the following category: Category   2 - Drones up to 25 kg. The aim of the drone pilot modules is to give the participants the knowledge and skills to carry out basic tasks, where a drone is necessary, using safe working procedures and the correct SOP’s. Upon completion of the drone pilot course, candidates will possess an awareness of flying skills, drone parts, aerodynamics etc., which will prepare the candidates for work with drones in several industries including onshore and offshore related activities in the wind, oil & gas and maritime industries. The course is approved by The Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority.



Course Content The course is a mix of both theory and practical training. We recommend you bring your own drone for the equivalent category. If you do not have your own drone we can offer drones to be rented for the course.   ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS The candidate must be minimum 18 years of age. Practical flight experience, with even small drones, would be useful. This is however not a requirement.   DURATION Cat. 1A – 2,5 days Cat. 1B - 3 days Cat. 2 - 3 days PARTICIPANTS Maximum 16 LANGUAGE English & Danish

  • Carrying out the flight
  • After flight
Theory exam:
  • 45 minutes, multiple choice
  • 30 questions
  • Min. 80% correct answers
When passed the participants have acquired the cat. 1A license. Practical exam:
  • 30–45 min. pr. student
  • Flight will be carried out on chosen category
  • Exercises must be flown controlled
