As VELUX Innovation Center is embarking on a transformation journey, the team is upscaling the strategy realization and PMO team with an increased focus on planning, execution, and tracking of strategy, portfolio, programs, and projects.
This includes a new position as Head of R&D Strategy and Portfolio Management Office!
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and governance of the R&D portfolio and improving its strategy execution. You will have overall responsibility for managing and orchestrating R&D roadmaps and orchestrating the portfolio, overseeing, and prioritising the project pipeline, and ensuring visibility on the delivery. Furthermore, in this role you will have to build up your own team of project experts and take over a large project management organisation in a matrix setup in which the Stage-Gate method is utilized.
Tasks and areas of responsibility – you will:
- Build up and lead the portfolio management orchestration and team for the R&D area
- Lead Project Management excellence within the R&D function
- Drive the formulation, realization, and yearly cycle of the R&D strategy
- Present findings and recommendations to executive management
You will be part of the leadership team at VELUX Innovation Center organization with direct reference to Senior Vice President, Lars Rye Kvist. You will be based at the facility in either Østbirk, Skjern or Hørsholm but are expected to be present at both Østbirk and Hørsholm regularly and can look forward to 20-40 annual travel days.
