Technical Project Manager - Retrofits

Our dedicated retrofit group is at the forefront, developing concepts, and projects that convert ship engines to operate on eco-friendly fuels and elevate energy efficiency.
These retrofit initiatives hold a pivotal role in driving the shipping industry toward a zero-carbon future and stand as cornerstone of MAN ES’s decarbonization strategy. We are actively seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Decarbonization Retrofits team located in Copenhagen.
You will play an important role in:
As a Technical project manager, you will:
- Be responsible for developing retrofit technical concepts and projects for dual fuel conversions and energy efficiency solutions with assistance from R&D and engineering departments
- Ensure that technical scope, timelines and cost inputs for retrofit project bids is submitted to the project sales team
- Be accountable for technical scope in execution of dual fuel conversions and work closely with the execution project manager
- Collaborate with the technical team and PrimeServ commercial team to develop new retrofit solutions
- Join customer and other external meetings and discussions to cover your area of responsibilities
- Be the link between and coordinate various projects between sales, execution, engineering and R&D teams
- Have project management responsibilities on assigned projects
We imagine that you:
- Have experience as a vessel superintendent/ vessel manager or technical project manager for medium/ large engineering projects on ships/ engines/ shipyards/ offshore platforms etc.
- Have a good understanding of 2-Stroke engines
- Have good stakeholder management and communication skills and are comfortable interacting at all levels within the organization
- Have a project management qualification preferably
- Enjoy some ambiguity and problem-solving as a part of your daily work
