Department manager – Systems, Process, and Simulation Team
Create the foundation for the decarbonization of the maritime industry
We are looking for an engaged and collaborative manager for a newly established “Systems, Process and Simulation” department in 2-stroke R&D. The maritime industry is transforming – it is accountable for around 3% of global CO2 emissions and at Everllence we have the opportunity to address the majority of this – that’s why our company vision is “moving big things to zero”. This management role will be pivotal in addressing greenhouse gas emissions, as well as harmful emissions from shipping.
You will play an important role in:
- Managing a team of 10-12 (primarily engineers and specialists) with three main focus areas:
- Business/development processes related to engine development
- Systems development, in particular our engine calculation and configuration tools
- Simulation systems development and execution - Managing Portfolio and coordinating with engine product teams and across the 2-stroke business
- Developing and implementing a strategy for new processes and governance – securing the best business execution with the systems, processes, and simulation
- Securing a great working environment in the team and nourishing the development of the team members.
We imagine that you:
- You thrive in working with Systems, processes, and simulations
- You have solid business acumen and experience and owning and developing systems/processes
- Preferably, you have an industrial or maritime background, but not mandatory
- You are structured and have strong communication and collaboration skills
- You can support and guide your team members and provide the necessary structures, but you are not expected to be a specialist in programming or simulation
- You lead by example that allows team members to flourish and grow, and that naturally inspires your team to work in fruitful collaboration with other teams
- You are curious and passionate about continuously improving solutions around you, and ambitious about the impact the department can have
- Not least, you are not afraid of challenging the status quo, even if it sometimes means difficult conversations.
What can you expect from us:
You will be part of the leadership team (6 teams) in ”Engine process development (EDF)” - 2-stroke R&D. EDF is responsible for our engine portfolio, Engine R&D, and Emission & Performance of our engines. The team is very dedicated, open, and collaborative, and we welcome diversity of thought (e.g., close to 50% non-Danes)
