Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) plans to tender K-Loaders.

The Danish Defense uses K-Loaders to load military and civilian cargo planes. The Danish Defense uses the C-130J Hercules aircraft as its main cargo plane, but the K-Loader shall be able to service the range of military cargo planes that may need service from the Danish Defense.

The K-loaders will mainly be operated on the Danish mainland. A number of the procured K-loaders will need to be delivered as ‘winterized’, enabling them to work in arctic conditions, as they are planned to be able to be used in Greenland.

The Danish Defense may also send K-Loaders to be used in international operations.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement:

Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization is conducting a strategic sourcing initiative and is looking for information regarding how to structure a possible future tender for the procurement of K-Loaders. The purpose of this RFI is to understand how the best possible tender can be arranged both for DALO and the possible contractors according to the EC regulation.

DALO emphazises that it will not influence Your participation in a possible future tender for K-Loaders, should You decline to participate or only partly fill out the questionnaire.

Please note, that this RFI is not a formal tender procedure, and accordingly no formal evaluation or selection will take place at this stage. The aim of this RFI is solely to gather information from the supplier market regarding e.g. products that can be used for cargo handling up to the size of a standard 20 FT ISO container, handling of spare parts, price etc. enabling DALO to prepare a future tender process for the K-Loader acquirement and a sustainment contract suited for DALO’s demands.

In addition to the above it is stressed that it is the intention of DALO to publish a tender for the K-Loaders on basis of the answers received from the RFI. However DALO does not guarantee that a future tender for K-Loaders will be based on the answers received nor that a tender will be published at all.

Thus, the supplier will not receive any formal feedback on the answers provided. DALO might plan to arrange a follow up meeting in order to discuss the RFI answers in further detail. In this case DALO will contact the supplier for further information regarding the RFI answers, if deemed desirable.
